Best Chinese in Broward County. We ordered the Singapore curry noodles (chicken, pork and beef) and the Kung Pao chicken. Absolutely delish. I'm tempted to order the exact same thing tonight. Fast delivery, good prices, friendly owners and THE BEST Chinese.

My go to when I lived in the area, dumplings are great steamed of pan-fried. The curry Chicken, chicken with black beans, szechuan chicken and General Tso's are all winners. Excellent packaging as well for take out! If you are in the area @ lunch time they have wonderful lunch specials I am told.

Tasty, quick, always nice and hot when I get it home. Coming from NJ it was difficult to find a good Chinese restaurant. The food at Sun Rice is good. I like the shrimp fried rice and the egg drop soup. I like the shrimp with steamed veggies as well. It's cooked to order and they're happy to put the sauce on the side. I've even tasted the boneless ribs (I customarily avoid pork) and they were tasty. The only real complaint I have is that the fried shrimp have way too much batter. I would gladly pay more for a better product. I also miss the nice Chinese style tea you got back home, even in your takeout. Service is excellent, friendly and efficient. They offer local delivery as well. We get takeout from here all the time for lunch and dinner, one day we'll actually sit and eat. They have a lovely aquarium in the dining area.

Do not order anything with Tofu from this Sun Rice place! They cut it into huge chunks that do not cook all the way. Not sure why they don't just cut it into the thin regular size that EVERY other chinese place does. The dish was nasty & I couldn't finish it.

Have you ever had the craving for mall food court Chinese? Today I did, wanted some "Panda Express" style sweet & sour chicken. Enter Sun Rice on Powerline. They actually have a pretty extensive menu, but make no mistake, it is mall food court Chinese, but really pretty good. I ordered the General Tso's lunch special that came w/ white or fried rice, and an egg roll, add won ton soup for .99 cents. Great location, & what a beautiful fish tank! The egg roll was god awful, but the entree was great, like I said, it is mall food court quality, styrofoam plates, plastic utensils, little wax bag with dragon print filled w/ fried won tons, duck sauce, crab rangoons, Chinese zodiac placemat, fortune cookie, the whole kitchy shabang! Would I return? Sure would! Wanna try the honey garlic next time.

This place is too pricy for the quality of their food. I've always loved Asian food but this place just didn't have great food. Me and my family were very disappointed with all of our meals. The rice was undercooked and dry. The girls were polite and they have a cute setup though.

I may eat Chinese food every few years because of the sodium and carb level. But, when I do, I really want good food. We ordered from this establishment last night and was disappointed in all of our dishes. We ordered crab Rangoon, they used imitation crab meat and had a funny taste. We also had beef schezuan, which was not bad, but they're too heavy with the corn starch. The shrimp Lo Mein and Chicken Mei Fun were just plain bad, and again, too much corn starch thickener in the Lo Mein. The good thing was the delivery was timely and the girl who took my order was very pleasant.

I love this place, right across the street from my job and the lunch prices are very fair. The food is tasty but sometimes they don't have everything available at lunch time. If they did I would give them 5 stars.

Sorry to disagree about the food, but after seeing my co-workers order it over and over, I had to try it. Pretty standard, not very good Chinese food. The wonton soup was salty, the pork fried rice dark brown and tasteless. I tried the chicken wings, which were ok, but after being in the box during delivery, they were soggy and greasy. The spare ribs were just overcooked enough to be dry and stringy, but the meat seemed like it would have been good if perfectly cooked. Crab rangoon and spring rolls- nothing new or very good - same as every other Chinese restaurant on the block. Chicken and broccoli - a bit oily, broccoli not cooked enough, steamed white rice pretty good. Lo mein ok- not enough vegetables or meat/chicken/shrimp in ratio to the noodles. However, all the portions are huge, and while not a fan, I am told the sweet and sour pork is really good. So it may not be my cup of tea, but enough people love it here to keep them going. Fast delivery and pleasant service. The restaurant is a small storefront with only a few tables inside, so the best bet is take out or delivery. Lunch is under $10 and they do have lunch speacials, as well as dinner specials. For the more elaborate dishes, look to the $10-14 range. (Happy family, etc) I am still looking for a Chinese reastaurant that is close enough to drop into in Margate/Coral Springs/Parkland. I love Chrisitna Wans spare ribs, but it's not close enough to decide at the last minute to go. I lived in SF for several years and have yet to find something even close in Cantonese, Mandarin or Szchuan food. Great Dim sum I have found.... basic Chinese...still looking. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Definitely one of the top Chinese delivery/take out places I have eaten at. The Hot & Sour soup that comes free with with the Diner portions is one awesome, and could be a meal in and of itself.

i think the food is great, their hot garlic sauce, szechuen sauce are very good as well. Try their fried rice, i think they are the best in town!!! because i hate chinese ppl using yellow rice, no flavor at all....their rice is different, it's more brown color and really fresh! they also have a express lane lunch special that really attract me! i can pick 2 main entrees and 3 sides for just $6.50, what a deal! and they are so fresh and tasty too!

It's ok for what it is, which is basically mall food court style chinese. You pick whether you want fried rice or lo-mein and then you're charged based on the number of entees and/or sides that you get to accompany it. If you work in the area and need a chinese fix it fulfills that need much the way a hooker fulfills the need for ...you know what I'm saying... it gets you fulfilled and thats about it. I wouldn't intentionally order from here aside from wanting Chinese food by my office.

I gave this place 2 chances in hopes I they would redeem themselves....to no avail. I initially ordered General Tso's Chicken; the flavor was pungent and off and the chicken was heavily battered and lots of grizzle in it. Fried rice was super salty and over done. The crab Rangoon (which was free thankfully) was stale and the filling was unsavory. Today I tried the orange chicken and found that it tasted like the General's Tso' chicken with orange peels....bad. Never again!

8-22-14 at 10:30 (accepting orders but pick up is at 11 which is their open time) I called in for 2 general Tsos chicken. First off their pork fried rice was not fresh because everything was absolutely dry; sorry but it was flavorless and gross. Rice and beans are common meals where I'm from and Sun's rice was awful. I always order general tsos chicken from any American Chinese restaurant and today's order was basically burnt rubber. The excessive amount of spices added to it masked the taste but it was definitely a challenge to chew. The egg roll shell was good but the veggies inside were complete mush... Had to throw something positive in there. Overall I wouldn't recommend ordering from this place. If their food is this bad within the first half hour of their open time then I can't fathom what it's like the rest of the day. Service wise - the staff is cheerful and friendly considering they let me order 30 minutes before they opened. Just to note this review's rating is for their food. Their customer service is 5 stars as far as I can tell

WARNING!!!!! I FOUND A PIECE OF METAL IN MY SHRIMP FRIED RICE!!!!!!! Today was my first time ordering delivery since my co-workers order from here all the time. I ordered a small shrimp fried rice and 2 spring rolls. A couple bites into the fried rice and I feel something hard as I am chewing. I think it's an eggshell or something so I spit the food out into a napkin and there's a thin, hard piece of metal, about one inch long, what looks like a piece of a metal brush. I was so disgusted I threw out the food I didn't another bite. Something told me not to order from this place and I should've followed my instinct but what do expect from a hole in the wall chinese restaurant. I will be reporting them to the health department. I'm thanking God right now that I didn't swallow that thing. PLEASE KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR FOREIGN OBJECTS IN YOUR FOOD IF YOU EVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM HERE.

Very good Chinese food at very reasonable prices. I often order from the "healthy menu". Egg rolls are good. I also like fried wontons in General Tso sauce. They have brown rice which I like.

A coworker of mine was eating a Chinese food lunch and I was immediately intrigued as although she had lo mein, she also had tons of veggies and chicken that didn't look like a greasy deep fried mess. Turns out she gets lunch at Sun Rice quite often and recommended it to me so I gave it a try.. If you go at lunch time this place works somewhat like a Chinese place at a mall food court. You pick white rice, brown rice or lo mein, two proteins, and two sides. I chose lo mein, chicken and broccoli, a spicy steak that I can't remember the name of, and a double portion of bok choy. This was A LOT of food and came to just over $7. I was very pleased with the meal. All the flavors were good, nothing was too greasy, and I really liked the bok choy. I'm not really a huge fan of fast food Chinese but this was relatively well done for this style restaurant. I was only able to eat half and saved the rest for lunch the next day. I think the mixed reviews here may come from the fact that you can also order take out Chinese like you would at any other Chinese restaurant. I can't attest to how ordering typical take out would go here, but I can say that as a lunch option their "buffet" type line offers a wide variety of options and it's a great value The daily protein options rotate throughout the week so you know the food is fresh. It gets pretty busy here at lunch time even despite the fact that I was early, but the staff had a very smooth operation going and were very friendly and efficient.

My usual lunch place. Express lunch of 2 entrees and 3 sides just costs $7.19. Love the sweet bourbon chicken. Balanced meal of meat and veggies. Much more worthy of the price and much more healthy than fast food combos. Better be there early before noon. It gets packed around that time. They do delivery too.

the owners make you feel like they simply don't want you there. they are always looking for ways to cut corners on food/amenities & don't even try to hide it. always trying to short-change on the food they give hoping you won't call them out on it. stop always trying to give me the smallest plantains or short changing on them! stop trying to charge for every/any little extra that most others places give for free (like a small bag of noodles)! get rid of the cheap chop sticks you just switched to!

It's my family's go to Chinese takeout place. The food is always good and the delivery service is very fast. I usually like to change it up to try different things but my husband always gets the same thing. Beef lo-mein no veggies and mixed soup. Which he says is the best Chinese place around here.

You know that Chinese food place at most malls? They're all named the same and the menu is as predictable as a calendar.... Sun Rice is a pretty busy delivery and eat-in joint located on Powerline Road, just north of West Cypress Creek (behind the Chili's). It is a bargain if you're looking for something that's no frills, quick, and easy. You can order a-la-carte or get their lunch specials (eat in or take-out) from the chaffing line. The price is reasonable and the portions match. Their daily "Express Lunch" includes two entrees and three sides for seven dollars. (Drink is extra!) If you're in a pinch, Sun Rice is reliable and wallet friendly. As for the quality of the food, I'm not saying it wasn't good, but it wasn't the greatest Chinese food I've ever had. I'm giving them two stars because of the "Meh" factor. The best part of my meal today was the fortune cookie. Apparently, I've got something big coming! PS - They deliver to area businesses and residences as well as cater. Their online menu can be found here sunriceonline.com/menu.p…

For the last 7 years I've watching coworkers order food from Sun Rice. Mostly delivery, but some will drive and pick their food up, which is what I opted to do. No need to order in advance as the interior is set up like a food-court Chinese place and you order based on what's in the display area that day. I came today particularly hoping for bok choy. No bok choy today, so note that things must change day to day. The other thing to note is the line! At 11:45am the line was almost out the door, it moved quickly but clearly this place sees quite a lot of business. Pricing is the standard food court style - 2 meats, 1 rice/noodles and 1 side for ~$7. I decided to be "skinny" and skip the carbs which got me many stares as if I had committed a sin lol. I finally convinced them to give me Mongolian beef, chicken with brocolli, 2 portions of green beans and a spring roll (it was obvious they wouldn't let me leave without some carbs) to still satisfy their combo/pricing situation. The food was tasty, nothing special, and really without the carbs loading up the to-go container it was slightly empty.

I love that I work close to Sun Rice. It's the greatest lunch option - they have the Express Lane during lunch hours which is set up like typical mall chinese food. For $7 you get SO MUCH food. (Rice OR Noodles, Two Meats, Two Sides which include egg rolls, spring rolls, crab rangoons, donut - there is also soup available for like $1) I've also ordered takeout and have always been pleased. It's nothing fancy, but the food is great and the people have always been wonderful. The Chinese donuts are a must by the way. Y-U-M

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
